A Blue moon must have arrived last week!

Because I finally did some housework! Whilst busying about,

I dropped a small flat length of cellophane into the bin. As it

fluttered towards the bin I walked away, yet something made

me pause. The cellophane didn’t reach the bin, it just floated

half-way down and stopped mid-air! As if it had hit a pocket of

zero gravity! Aha! I thought, it’s probably caught on a cobweb!

(I have my share of those) But no, no cobweb!  I looked closer and realised that the cellophane had become attracted to the wall through a static charge! That invisible dance of electrons and forces, which although unseen, can make the most dapper of hairstyles dance on end when you rub a balloon over it.  Invisible forces such as electrostatics, microwaves, electromagnetism and gravity are all around us, mostly unseen, and yet occasionally we see mesmerising and powerful glimpses of their force at work in our world.  Jesus stood among them and said, “Peace be with you” Jn 20:19  When Jesus rose from the dead, over five hundred witnesses glimpsed the incredible and unforgettable the power of God, when our risen Jesus ate fish, showed them his wounds, and demonstrated his presence and power.  We will see glimpses of God’s miraculous power displayed through miracles, healings, strange tongues and answered prayers, but not every day. A Peace from God to hold on to forever, when at other times God seems silent. With Love, Rev Gill x
